house in the {old} hood

I debated about posting this house.
Because it holds a lot of memories.
It's owned by our dear friends, who recently put it on the market.
My husband never thought he'd see the day.
It started out as the bachelor pad of our mutual friend Jeff.
In the 15 years since I've been gone Jeff met and married the perfect girl for him.
One girl, two dogs, two cats, a bunny, {and some pets I may have missed} later,
well, let's just say life for Jeff is different now ;)
He's the one who introduced us.

easy like Sunday morning

Last week I was sweating my buttockous off  and today I need a sweater.
The weather here in Houston is the craziest thing to figure out.
Which makes figuring out what to wear hard.
You know I'm a self professed t-shirt queen.
Its my uniform.
Better than the In & Out burger tshirt phase post-partum with the twins.
Don't ask.
That was a shameful phase ;( of sleep deprivation.

garden party

You know I'm a list maker. I must have four or more notebooks laying about at any given moment. You know how I feel about office supplies.  Nothing makes me happier than going through my notebooks to scratch off completed projects.Well. I take that back. I'd probably rather watch a good movie or eat a vat of chips and salsa. Just keeping it real. Ha! But I do love checking things off the list. That means progress people and I'm all about moving forward and making progress.

I'm back...

My sister Julie noticed I haven't posted in a while.
Not that she ever comments ;)
But I called her yesterday for some tax advice
{she's a brilliant CPA}
and she said "hey, where've you been?"
"you haven't posted on your blog lately."
which for an older sister is like music to my ears.
So hey Julie!
I'm back...

house in the 'hood

I hope your Tuesday is going swell so far.
I'm in a better place today.
We went for ice cream after school yesterday
then went home for dinner.
I was scared to ask the boys if they knew why
we were enjoying ice cream on a weekday
especially right before dinner.
The twins remembered...our youngest not so much.
But he will in time,
with stories told repeatedly about her
and why her name always comes up
when we watch Harry Potter movies,
remembering how my in-laws took her to the bookstore at midnight
when a new Potter book was released
and how she would stay up all night devouring every word.
Then sit there and read it again.
Oh how she loved to read. :)
I see her in our boys for sure
and that makes my heart happy.

I'll be out of pocket for the next few days.
I'm super excited...more on that when I get back.
Until then I hope you enjoy my most recent favorite
house in the 'hood...
