you would have been proud of me

Remember how I said my husband was looking for a new desk?
We were going to put it in our bedroom.
Not a great idea I know.
He stays up late most nights doing charts and what not.
He has developed severe pain in his wrists from so much typing
and we're trying to come up with some alternatives to help.
Hence the new desk idea.
Long story short we decided on one for the boys' study room
where he can work at night but that our five year old can grow
into as his homework load increases.
Meet our new desk...

Not next to the jallepeno Living room, but good looking. Parsons Desk with Drawers - Spruce Green | west elm

I know.
I like it too.
Glossy green and all.
Not what I originally had in mind
but its growing on me.
I think its the green.

Anywho...
while I was waiting at West Elm to see if the desk was in stock
I browsed around and about died when I saw these...

You see it too don't you?

Hello lover.
I think I need you.
In navy blue!
And you're on sale to boot.
For $39 per 108 inch panel.
What a score!

Say it with me...
{Nancy, step away from the chevron.}
I wanted them.
I just wasn't sure I needed them.
I knew I had to be talked off the roof.
I was so close to getting them for the family room reno.
I stopped thinking once I saw chevron.
I needed an intervention :)
What to do?
I texted Mary Ann.
She brought up a good point...
gently reminding me that the other fabrics
for the new pillows would become limited.
I knew she was right.
I walked away.
You would have been so proud of me :)

  1. That is such a great, timeless desk!!! We bought one in white for my sister's guest room and it makes a great vanity, too.

Perhaps we could use chevron on the pillows...where they can be switched out and/or blended with other patterns?
