house in the 'hood

Hope your week is going well.
I'm limping along.
Fighting a little virus or hopefully just allergies.
Wear your ring of garlic if you see me coming.
I've been working on the computer and trying not to talk.
Of course I took some time to peruse my beloved
I do it all in the name of research, for you.
I think y'all like this series.
I hope so any way.

This latest house in the 'hood had me at hello...

with blue shutters and topiaries in clay pots.
Where do I sign?

Note the beautiful medium brown hardwood floors throughout.

To the right above is the formal living room.

I love the use of four chairs and the long upholstered bench.
The french doors lead outside to a bricked porch.

Across the entry hall is the formal dining room...

I love the use of one color on the walls, ceiling, and trim.
Chic but simple.
Yes please.

To make your way back to the kitchen you pass through the butler's area.

Classic subway tile back splash.
Timeless choice in my humble opinion.
You'll find a large walk in pantry off to the left above.

Now this is what I call a great room...

I'll go out on a limb and guess that the island counter top is honed black granite
as is the fireplace surround...I could be wrong though...

Every picture I see just gets better.
Notice they use the breakfast area more as a keeping room with additional seating...

Look at the twin book nooks by the french doors.
Loads of storage in this home.
Adding that to the list for my next house.

You can catch a glimpse of the mud room from here...

with this beautiful built in desk.

Before we head upstairs let's look at the bar...

White Carrera marble, wine fridge, ice maker, and that chalkboard saying.
My new motto in life y'all!

The master bedroom needs no description other than pretty perfection...

More white marble in the master bath...

Also upstairs are three secondary bedrooms,
all with private baths...

The upstairs landing with built-in bookshelves...

that leads into the game room...

The laundry room with all its glorious storage...

I bet you could hide a lot of laundry in those cabinets
because I'd always be outside on the back patio...

Notice the haint blue ceiling...
me loves....

Where do I sign?
Oh, yeah.
This lovely is sale pending.
Of course it is.
It's perfection.

  5. Wow. Is this a model home or does somebody live here? I love everything about it. BTW... did your friend ever see my mentions and review of her book on my blog?
